What is this?
Guests are welcome! You do not have to be a member of this chapter to attend. The program will be in honor of February being the month to focus on women’s heart health. It will feature Dr. Melissa Welch, the Chief Medical Officer at Denver-based, InnovAge, Inc., who was referred to us by the Colorado chapter of the American Heart Association. Dr. Welch is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and is an accomplished and nationally known senior executive physician with 35 years of leadership, management, and health care strategic impacts. Dr. Welch began her professional career in public health with the San Francisco Department of Public Health as a Medical Director, delivering primary care in a local community clinic. She was an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and the former Chief Medical Officer for San Francisco’s Community Health Network, integrated delivery system. Dr. Welch’s philanthropic interests include raising awareness for the prevention of heart disease in women, with the American Heart Association and the Go Red for Women Campaign.
The meeting will be held via Zoom and the link will be sent on Wednesday upon registration. There will also be a short business meeting following the presentation.
